As you may have heard, recently PMI announced that the content of the PMI-ACP exam is changing! PMI has decided to run a pilot from July 15 to October 15, 2015 with new content, before the changes are finalized.
However, if you apply to write the PMI-ACP exam before August 16th 2015, you are eligible for a 20% rebate on your exam fee!
The new pilot exam will be administered, with scores delivered on or before October 22, 2015. After October 15, 2015, exam takers will receive their score immediately after the testing, as usual.
Reason for change: PMI recently ran a survey, Role Delineation Study (RDS), involving over 1,000 Agile practitioners from 60 countries and found that Agile practitioners are performing more tasks than covered in the current exam content. To reflect this change, PMI introduced new tasks and updated description of the existing tasks, which Agile practitioners should perform.
Key changes: Most important change in the exam content is the new domain added to the exam content. It is called “Agile Principles and Mindset”. In total 62 tasks are validated in the context of the seven domains.
ITpreneurs PMI-ACP exam prep course material has been updated with the new domain, knowledge & skills and tools & techniques. It is available as both classroom and virtual classroom formats.
There are no other changes made to the PM-ACP exam. At this time, PMI does not anticipate that any changes will be made to the exam eligibility requirements or the process to apply for the exam.
There is no mandatory requirement to take another prep course; however, we recommend exam takers compare the training outline with the new PMI-ACP Exam Content Outline to decide if additional training is necessary.
